EPA declares CO2 a health hazard, starts regulation outline

Posted by Jordan Erickson

Today the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has declared carbon dioxide, a greenhouse gas, a hazard to human health and to our environment. By doing this, the EPA is building the legal foundation behind mandating how businesses such as energy plants create energy, and how auto makers manufacture their products. As well as taking care of our own local country’s environment, the decision will in no small scale cause a major global shift in mentality toward global warming, and the things we must do to help sustain our environment. Other countries are expected to follow suit with their own regulations toward lowering the amount of CO2 in our atmosphere.

I am very happy about this decision, and I hope it is the start of a very hopeful future in keeping our planet cool and habitable for many years to come.
