Hewlett Packard and Intel Corp. are working together to announce the roll-out of a new low-power, environmentally friendly PC for the enterprise. Among the features of these new PCs are solid-state drives (SSD) that reduce power usage over traditional hard disks by using flash-based memory chips instead of spinning magnetic platters and other moving parts. Other focal points to these new “green PCs” are the initiative to create recyclable parts.
