Learning about natural oil seeps in our oceans

It might be of interest to note that, in the wake of the devistation that the BP oil spill/leak has caused the Gulf of Mexico and surrounding areas, there are also natural oil seeps that occur in our planet’s oceans. These seeps actually surpass the amount of oil that enters our oceans via oil spills from offshore drilling! I personally had no idea this was the case – not to downplay the devistation man has caused with our oil spills, but it is somewhat nice to hear that, because of the natural occurance of oil seeping into parts of our oceans, sea and other life at least have had the chance to adapt / evolve to deal with it apart from what man has done.
