Live web feed of Gulf oil leak online

Posted by Jordan Erickson

Here’s a link to an Internet camera that is set up beside the blown out oil well, gushing hundreds of thousands of gallons of crude oil into the Gulf of Mexico. At the moment it seems that it is being hammered pretty well and isn’t available – hopefully it will be online very soon again for us to watch the catastrophe unfold.

** EDIT ** Here’s a seemingly more stable video feed, provided by YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/pbsnewshour?feature=ticker

On a personal note, I sure hope this accident of epidemic proportions helps steer future decisions regarding the use of finite energy resources and the delicate balance of our planet’s ecosystem. It is simply heartbreaking to think of the millions of shrimp, fish and other sea life that are suffering and dying because of this accident.
