Microsoft released IE 7.0 a few days ago on the 19th – the new version will be silently ‘pushed’ to users through Window’s “Automatic Updates” feature, if enabled, in the next few months. Users can also download the new version online, and in corporate settings you may block the new browser’s download all-together (which is beneficial for software compatibility control).
The new software adds new opensource browser Firefox-style features such as tabbed browsing, as well as an integrated “Search box”.
